DEVOTION is the first NFT of its kind, providing an interface between the Ethereal and Physical planes for one ephemeral night.

Those in possession of DEVOTION can choose to collect it, transfer it or exchange it for an Encounter.

Each DEVOTION is an unborn story waiting to happen. We’re hoping you will choose to bring it to us, or gift it to somebody who will enjoy this experience.

+ Who can redeem the experience

You may only redeem the experience if you're in possession of the DEVOTION token.

We are eager to devote ourselves to humans of any and all genders.

We're also open to considering experiences for couples. If you wish to share this Encounter with romantic partner, you may propose that to us.

+ Preparing for the Encounter

Once you book your city and date, we will start preparing.

First, one of our collaborators will reach out to you to learn about your needs and desires in a psychoanalysis interview. Alternatively, we can send you some questions.

Then we will move to your chosen city, and prepare the Encounter with our production crew, drawing from our artistic performance backgrounds.

+ The Encounter

We Cryptobæbes are fragile creatures who prefer the sensuality of the night – so the Encounter will take place from sunset.

We will provide an address for the meeting, and the rest is a complete mystery.

The Encounter will be private and confidential and will take place in one or more enclosed spaces.

Our production costs are funded from the proceeds from the NFT, so the better it sells, the more we will invest in the venue, supporting crew and materials.

+ What happens after the Encounter?

After the Encounter is complete, we will keep the original DEVOTION Token and mint a new personalized DEVOTED Token which you will receive as a Proof Of Encounter.

The new DEVOTED Token will have a new piece of digital art dedicated to you. Your DEVOTED will be personalized and cryptographically signed, granting you digital ownership and value as a collector.

This will be the only remaining memory from the Encounter, forever encoded into the blockchain.

+ The Temple of Devotion

As DEVOTION tokens are redeemed and DEVOTED ones are created, we will exhibit this final collection in the Temple of Devotion, a permanent tribute to the Cryptobæbes in the Ethereal plane in a space like Decentraland or Cryptovoxels.

+ The end of the DEVOTION journey

We will only be in the Physical Plane for a limited time. After December 31st 2023, we will abandon our material bodies, and return home to the Ethereal plane, becoming once again Pure and Timeless Information.

Any Encounter must be redeemed before this date – but the art and memories will live forever.

+ Trust and safety

This is an emotionally intense art experience, not suitable for everybody. Take care of yourself and come with the right mindset.

This is not a sexual encounter. However, it might be highly sensual depending on your needs and desires.

We will only tolerate behavior that is safe, consensual and legal. The use of intoxicants is strictly forbidden – we need you fully aware.

Before the experience we will share mutual safety & confidentiality rules. The Encounter can only take place once these are mutually understood and agreed. This is important both for you and for us.

DEVOTION is, to our knowledge, the most exclusive and personalized NFT in existence. It has the power to deliver a crew of artists from across the world for one ephemeral experience.

By participating in DEVOTION, you are supporting our careers as young emerging artists, and helping us explore new formats for cryptoart.

Even after the Encounter, the DEVOTED token will remain as a symbol of these magical years. Make a statement by owning a unique piece of history.

+ Is there anything similar to this experience?

This experience is extremely exclusive in terms of talent, resources, intensity and duration.

We havent't heard of any experience quite like DEVOTION.

The closest parallels are probably "Westworld" and David Fincher's "The Game" (1997).

In the immersive theater world, Sleep No More is a spectacular immersive 3-hour experience, but unlike here, guests are mostly "ghosts" who do not shape the story. Signa is another immersive art collective producing highly involved performanced running for hours or days at the time.

With DEVOTION, weeks of work will go into preparing an experience just for you.

+ Selling or transferring DEVOTION

DEVOTION has objective value as a unique digital art photography, and also for its potential to exchange it for an experience.

You can keep your DEVOTION as a collectible, gift it, sell it or auction it on a marketplace.

DEVOTION is a Non Fungible Token using the ERC-721 protocol, which means that all mechanics are encoded programatically in a smart contract as part of the token, in a way that nobody (not even us) can alter once you own it.

+ Redeeming DEVOTION for an Encounter

We Cryptobæbes will inhabit the Physical plane from August 1st 2021 until December 31st 2023, so your Encounter needs to take place then. Please let us know at least 4 weeks in advance so we may fully prepare for You!

We will meet you in any of the following cities: NYC, SF, London, Tokyo, Berlin, Paris. You may request others, but we cannot guarantee. The cities we mentioned are the ones approved by us so far.

Once you’re ready, you may book your Encounter by following these steps:

1. Send your unique DEVOTION token to the devotion.eth ENS address.
2. Read the next section to learn how to contact us.
3. Reach out to us with your choice of City and Date for the Encounter.
4. We will reply requesting an interview to prepare the experience

+ Contacting the Cryptobæbes

Being Ethereal creatures, we Cryptobæbes love to be contacted on-chain. This right is only granted to the current token owner.

Here's how you do it:

• Send an ETH transaction of any amount (can be 0) to devotion.eth
• Include a cb_message field with your message. If you wish to, you can encode it using our public key below.
• If you wish to received an encrypted reply, include a cb_reply_with_private_key and include your key.
• You may include any optional fields you wish, prefaced by cb_ and encrypting their contents too if you wish to.

We will answer to the address which sent the message using the same specifications. If provided, we will only encrypt our reply using your public key for full privacy.

Do mind that all data will be stored permanently on-chain in the Ethereal plane and will be publicly visible.

Alternatively, you can reach us on Keybase which allows for verified messages, or any of other less secure channels.

+ Proof of scarcity

Only 10 DEVOTION tokens have been minted, and these are the only ones that will ever exist.

The DEVOTION contract has been burnt, so that nobody (not even us) can't modify them or release new ones.

+ Proof of authenticity

The only 10 authentic DEVOTION tokens are available on OpenSea and can be verified on-chain at any time.

+ Proof of physicality

Our art pieces were done in Berlin with some of our favorite creatives, who have verified in their social media accounts that we're real. This serves as a distributed trust system of verification.

+ Immutable data stored on the blockchain

Each DEVOTION contains pointers to its unique high-resolution photographic art piece, which is stored both in a centralised web server and in the Inter Planetary File System.

This guarantees immutability and indestructibility of the art piece, as long as the distributed network exists.

+ Conversion of DEVOTION into DEVOTED

Every time a DEVOTION is used, a unique experience takes place joining the Ethereal and Physical planes.

To celebrate its memory in all eternity, we will mint a new personalized DEVOTED token, which will be transferred to you as the owner.

Any unsafe of illicit behavior will result in us voiding the original DEVOTION Token, without the right to receive a DEVOTED Token. This is intended to guarantee trust and safety.

+ All costs included

DEVOTION can only be purchased with decentralized cryptocurrency.

All project expenses (including our flights, accommodation, assistance crew, carbon offsets, etc) are paid from the proceeds, so your diamond hands don't ever need to deal with fiat money.

This makes it a First Class experience without ever leaving the blockchain.
